On My the Ruins

They abound in Brugg.
Perhaps this sounds very obvious, but it's not: we've come to see fountains as a pure decorative element in gardens and squares; we don't drink water from those fountains.

But here - on the Alps, in the middle of Europe - water from the fountain is drinkable. Unless a sign tells you it's not (and it would be an exception).

On my way to the ruins I didn't expect - aside from a couple of stones scattered here and there - such a huge historical treasure, included parts of a Roman aqueduct.
